September 27th, 2013 -- On our way to preschool, I was discussing with Declan what he thought he would be doing that day. I knew that on Monday he discussed Fall "Colors" and that on Thursday they did "Cookies". So I said, C is for...and what of course came to my head was Cancer. I guess C was an appropriate letter for that week.  But, as our awesome Pediatrician pointed out -- C is also for "Courage" and "Conquer".  Sounds like a plan!

Mom of four crazy wonderful kids - Kyrie (4th grade), Lariska (2nd grade), Declan (preschool), and Hugo (two years old).

On September 25, 2013 I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer, but that is not who I am, was, or plan to be.  I am currently under-going treatments to be rid of this craziness, but it is a long process that will probably take me through 2015.

My hobbies include reading, especially fantasy fiction and anything related to Harry Potter.  I am a fan of BBC's Sherlock, Downton Abbey, Star Trek, the Vlog Brothers (and decreasing world suck), and myriad other ecclectic things that would take too long to list here and just cause you to come to the obvious conclusion - I am a total nerd.  I love playing games and have made a promise to myself to someday become a gamer as it seems to be my destiny.  (Dungeons and Dragons, anyone?  I have never played!)

Because I have these wonderful, crazy children I am also a fan of Legos, Star Wars, Subway Surfer, Minecraft, Cheetahs, cats, the Muppets, Frozen, and anything Disney, for that matter.  Fun!
