Cycle 2A Done!

Woo hoo!  I am finished with Cycle 2A (2B is on Thursday).  It was a loooong day.  Here's the breakdown:

- 9:40am - Labs
- 10:30am - Oncologist (but he was late, so I would say this happened at more like 11am)
- 12pm - Lunch at the health food café (I really like this place, though - it is inexpensive and pretty good).
1pm - Chemo
3:30pm - Finished!

As I am writing this I feel mostly...tired.  I don't know if this is because getting Chemo is exhausting or because Hugo woke us up at 5:15am today.  Maybe a little of both.  But...overall, I am feeling really good.  And here's why --

The tumor has already shrunk!!!  Our Oncologist (Dr. Cheng) told me that Triple Negative responds really well to this regimen and that he would expect to see the tumor shrink pretty fast, but I think even he was pleased to say that it had shrunk in HALF.  That's pretty awesome!

So, even though Chemo would not be my choice of what to do today, I have to say that I look forward to it because it means taking action and getting rid of this nasty stuff.  And, every cycle I finish means one less cycle I have to do.  So, yay!  I am thrilled to be finished with 2A!

Sorry, I forgot to take pictures today!  I was fortunate enough to once again have some Chemo buddies.  Matt, of course, is my biggest supporter.  And, then Heather came for the first half and then switched with Jenny for the second half.  It is wonderful to get to spend time with them and they make everything brighter while I am there.  Thank you so much, girls!
