Sheepshead

When my husband left to play Sheepshead once a month with "the guys" until (on average) two in the morning, my first thought was probably, "Don't wake me up when you get home, dear."  My second thought was more along the lines of, "Have fun, be safe, and all that."  When my husband left for Sheepshead once a month I never really thought to myself, "How fortunate we are." 

But today, wow, today, I know how fortunate he is to have great friends and how fortunate I am that he knows how to pick such great friends.  Today, this bunch of Sheepshead guys came over and worked their butts off making our yard look decent.

Leaves?  What leaves?  Tree branch hanging over the roof?  Gone.  Lawn?  Mowed.  Bushes?  Trimmed.  Gutters?  Clean.  Skylight?  Shined. 

I feel like there are so many people who deserve and need this help so much more than we do.  I don't know how we got so fortunate, but I am just amazed.  Thank you, Jason, Dan, Dan, Wade, Adam and Maddie (daughter of a Sheepshead player)!  I don't think our yard has ever looked so good.

Renee, Jenny, and Maddie decorated!  Oh.  My.  Gosh.  So beautiful.  I love what the men did, and do not want to diminish it in any way, but I have to say that while having a clean yard is nice and a huge relief, having a house decorated for Fall is uplifting.  Every time I come home from one of my appointments, I am going to drive up to this house that now looks more like a home.  I know my children will be excited and proud every time they see this.  I think Renee and Jenny think this was a little thing, but it wasn't.  It was huge.  Thank you.  Thank you.  Thank you.
