My Man

I don't think I have mentioned yet, just how brave, stoic, and wonderful Matt has been throughout the last two weeks.  He is doing his best to keep my spirits up.  He is taking on more with the kids than he did before - and he was never a slacker.  He has always done dishes, helped with bedtime, he even puts the laundry in the machine.  But today, he did something I have never seen before.  He folded the laundry!  (Clarification: he has always folded his own laundry, but he has not ever folded children's or other.)  Wow!  I am speechless.  I have always known what a wonderful man I married, but in thirteen years this is only our second major trial and the first one, in hindsight, was nothing compared to this and he weathered that very well; always in my corner.  So, I am not surprised at all by his awesome-ness.  I am just very, very, very thankful.  I am the luckiest woman in the world.

  1. It was obvious within days of when you started dating that he was the man for you, Kelly. There's no one else that could be your partner like Matt is, and will always be, especially in the trials.

  4. Kelly,
Just mention to Matt that changing diapers, folding laundry and dusting are great ways to stay in shape after a Tough Mudder, and you're set!
